Best way to transfer SD card files on the go?
Our take
Traveling without a computer poses unique challenges for transferring SD card files efficiently. If you're considering using your phone as an intermediary to move files directly from your SD card to an SSD via a hub, finding the right USB-C hub is essential. Many available options include unnecessary ports, making them cumbersome. Instead, seek a streamlined hub that offers one each of USB-A, USB-C, SD/Micro SD, and HDMI ports. Alternatively, explore apps or devices that facilitate direct transfers without the need for bulky hardware.
Do you guys have any suggestions on file transfer? Going to be traveling without a computer so I was thinking of using my phone as an intermediary to transfer from SD card straight to SSD via a hub. Don’t want to 2 step transfer SD to phone and then SSD.
Issue is all the USB C hubs I find are filled with so many extra ports or are large. I don’t need 2x USB A, 2x USB, 1x Power usb C on top of the useful ports.
Any one recommend a USB-C hub that has one of each port (USB A, USB C, SD/Micro SD, hdmi)
or an alternative solution?
