Boudoir Photography Newbie

Our take

Boudoir photography is an intimate art form that requires a delicate balance of creativity and sensitivity. As you consider this opportunity to capture your coworker’s vision, it’s perfectly natural to seek guidance, especially given your background in weddings and portraits. Collaborating with a fellow photographer who specializes in boudoir can provide valuable insights into style and technique, helping you to navigate this new territory with confidence. Embrace the chance to learn and grow, and remember that every artist starts somewhere. Thank you for reaching out!

Hi all,

I was asked by a coworker if I’d be willing to do some boudoir photos for her. I’ve done various weddings, portraits, bridal, and wildlife…but never boudoir. I don’t want to turn down an opportunity, but I don’t have the experience in this field.

Is it wrong if I ask someone who I do portraits quite often for to help me learn the style or how would you approach the situation?

Thank you.
