Double-sided tape for photo backdrops?

When using a portable draped cloth photo backdrop, achieving a polished look is essential, especially in dynamic environments where movement is frequent. Double-sided tape can be a game-changer, helping to secure the backdrop and prevent bunching as people enter and exit the frame. While carpet tape has proven effective, it often leaves residue that can mar the backdrop’s appearance. To avoid this, consider double-sided tapes specifically designed for easy removal, ensuring a clean finish at the end of your shoot without compromising the backdrop's integrity.
Occasionally i use a large portable draped cloth photo background, and i find it's helpful to use double-sided tape in a few spots (where it first meets the ground in the back) to avoid bunching as people enter & exit. I have used carpet tape, and this worked quite well -- until i had to remove it (residue) [EDIT: residue on the backdrop, not the floor]. What's a good option that won't be terribly hard to remove at the end of the shoot? Usually the ground is carpet. I can loop gaffer tape, but a proper double sided option works better IMO. I do also tape the edges all around (w gaffer tape).
