Genuinely curious

Our take

The landscape of photography is evolving, prompting a critical question: is image licensing still a vital component of the photography business, or has the model shifted? In the past, licensing was frequently highlighted in portfolios and discussions, showcasing photographers' rights and practices. However, with changing industry dynamics, many wonder if these licenses are now integrated into broader contracts.

Is image licensing still apart of photography business or has the business model changed?

I remember constantly seeing image licenses being referenced in portfolios, forums etc. but not so much anymore

Edit: Do photographers still license images or is it all just factored into a contract?
