hosting my first photowalk - things you hated/things you wished happened at the ones you've gone to?
Our take
Hosting your first photowalk is an exciting opportunity to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts and foster community collaboration. As you prepare, consider the experiences you've had at other walks—what resonated with you and what didn't? Would you prefer structured introductions, or does a relaxed mingling atmosphere feel more inviting? Remember, you're not just a small portrait photographer; your passion and perspective are valuable. Embrace this chance to share your vision while encouraging others to do the same.
i'd like some advice for hosting my first photo walk... it's a free event so i don't want to do too much leg work but i want people to enjoy themselves. did you enjoy the walks where everyone introduces themselves before starting or do you prefer when one person speaks and then everyone mingles on their own?
also - i'm having imposter syndrome for hosting this because I'm not a major professional, i'm just a photographer with a small portrait business seeking more local community and collaborations.
any general advice is welcome
