How do I expose in harsh sunlight?
Our take
Exposing in harsh sunlight presents unique challenges, particularly when deciding between harsh shadows or direct light on your subject. When shooting in RAW, you have greater flexibility to adjust exposure in post-processing, allowing for creative control in challenging conditions. Generally, it’s advisable to expose for the highlights to prevent loss of detail in bright areas, while ensuring that shadows retain sufficient information.
