how do yall handle client selection phases

Our take

Navigating the client selection phase can be challenging, especially when starting with grad pictures for college students. It's essential to balance client preferences with the integrity of your work. Allowing clients to choose their favorite shots before full editing can enhance satisfaction, but it's crucial to protect your creative assets. Many photographers opt to send low-resolution, watermarked proofs or utilize platforms like Pixieset to showcase selections without revealing the entire gallery.

i just started out doing grad pictures for college students, i've come to realise photographer's pick ≠ client pick.

so i wanna let clients pick some favourites before i fully edit the gallery, but i also don’t wanna accidentally give away the whole gallery/raws for free.

do people usually just send low res watermarked proofs or use something like pixieset? curious what workflows yall use
