As you prepare for your upcoming European adventure, embracing a few key techniques can elevate your photography skills. Focus on mastering angles, lighting, and composition to create stunning portraits that reflect her beauty and personality. With practice and thoughtful attention to detail, you’ll not only impress her but also ensure that your journey together is filled with vibrant, authentic images you'll cherish for years to come.
If this isn’t the right sub please delete. So my wife and I are going on a trip to Europe in a few months. And just like most millennial men, I’m terrible at taking photos. She always gets upset about the angles, lighting, etc. is there any advice anyone can give me and pointers on getting the best quality photos of her and practice now that way we have good photos on our trip? She jokes and says we will be in our 80s and have like 0 photos of each other lol.

- How to photograph significant other?Does anyone else have trouble photographing their partner? I don't like the idea of practicing portraits with strangers so I try to practice taking photos of my wife plus I like having pictures of her. The problem is that she gets uncomfortable with me shoving my DSLR into her face and gets awkward and doesn't know how to pose or act and honestly idk how to direct her or make it feel more natural. It's frustrating because with her girlfriends if they just want to snap a pic with their phone she poses extremely naturally and will even have fun with it but as soon as I pull out my camera and try to seriously get some photos she immediately shuts down. She's even down to have me take pictures of her and fully consents but she always just say i don't know what to do. If anyone has some advice that could help that would be great. submitted by /u/banejosiah [link] [comments]
- Male photographers taking photos of your gf/wife/partners how do you do it?Meant to be a fun topic. Most of the time she wants me to use the phone's 23mm or 12mm focal length (makes her taller apparently) and makes me question my entire photography skill/knowledge (that perhaps is inexistant?) as it usually takes so many pictures to get it right in her eyes while I do have no issue finding the right lighting and angles and shooting nice 50/85mm portraits she finds too compressed and close up... Sigh what should I do? 😊 submitted by /u/Dizzy-Tooth-4730 [link] [comments]
