I'm scanning thousands of photos using the Epson FF-680W. I've started getting these streak marks.
Our take
I'm currently using the Epson FF-680W to scan thousands of photos, but I've encountered an issue with streak marks, particularly noticeable on darker glossy images. The streaks appear around the bottom and top of the photos, yet there are no visible marks on the photos themselves. I've ensured that the FastFoto software's "enchantments" are turned off and have attempted to clean the glass, which only eliminated larger lines. Any insights or solutions to resolve this scanning issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
In darker glossy photos you can really tell. Around the bottom of this photo and the top it looks rough. The rollers don't make contact with the photo in the streaked marks and it doesn't have any marks on the photo itself. I've turned off any of the "enchantments" the FastFoto software has as well.
I've tried cleaning the glass but that only removes the larger lines.
Any help would be appreciated.
