Is my client messing with me?
Our take
Navigating client relationships can be complex, especially when communication becomes unclear. In this scenario, you’ve encountered a potential client who seems reluctant to commit, repeatedly asking for a lower price and providing incomplete documentation. Her failure to sign or clearly identify herself raises red flags about her seriousness. It’s essential to trust your instincts in these situations. If this pattern of behavior continues, consider whether it aligns with your professional values. Dropping this client may be a prudent choice to protect your time and energy.
I’m doing a few grad shoots in LA and someone reached out through my ad. After going back and forth for more than a week (her asking for a cheaper price despite my already lowered price) she wants to do it. But I’ve asked her to send me the signed contract +$75 deposit around 5 times and she sends me illegible scribbles and didn’t even bother signing her name or printing her name.
Is she just messing with me and should I drop this client? I’ve never had this happen to me before
