My 2nd time doing digitals

Our take

Exciting news! I’m thrilled to share my latest digitals featuring my natural hair, showcasing a fresh look since my last shoot with a perm. After receiving valuable feedback previously, I’ve applied those insights here. As I embark on my journey as a freelance model in Los Angeles, I’ve already booked a paid gig and have more shoots lined up. I welcome your thoughts on whether these digitals are bookable and meet industry standards.
My 2nd time doing digitals

The journey of a model, especially in the competitive landscape of Los Angeles, can be both exhilarating and daunting. Recently, a Reddit user shared their latest experience of doing digitals for the second time, showcasing their natural hair after a previous perm. This simple yet profound shift highlights the ongoing dialogue within the modeling community about authenticity and personal expression in a field often driven by trends and industry standards. Their update about working as a freelance model and booking gigs illustrates the burgeoning opportunities that can arise from taking creative risks and embracing one's natural self. This narrative echoes the themes discussed in articles like 6’4 Digitals (need help), where aspiring models seek validation and advice on their journeys.

What stands out in this model's experience is the proactive approach to feedback. By actively seeking and applying critiques from their previous digitals, they demonstrate a commitment to growth—a vital trait in any creative industry. This is particularly resonant in a culture that often emphasizes perfection over authenticity. The world of modeling is shifting towards valuing unique traits and personal stories, as illustrated in the article Which tropical destination is best for finding international for models TFP shoots, and how can we stay informed about their travel schedules?, which discusses the significance of finding environments that foster creativity and collaboration. This model's willingness to embrace their natural look not only aligns with current trends promoting self-acceptance but also serves as a reminder of the importance of authenticity in a profession often criticized for its superficiality.

In a broader context, this shift towards natural beauty and personal expression signals a transformative moment in the modeling industry. The rise of social media has democratized the modeling landscape, allowing for diverse voices and aesthetics to flourish. Models are no longer merely vessels for fashion; they are storytellers, each bringing their own narrative to the forefront. The recent update from our Reddit user about transitioning into freelance modeling reflects this trend, as they navigate the complexities of building a portfolio and connecting with photographers. Their journey is emblematic of a larger movement towards inclusivity and representation in the industry, suggesting that the next generation of models will increasingly define success by their individuality rather than adherence to traditional standards.

As we look to the future, the question that arises is how this evolving landscape will continue to shape the definition of beauty and success in modeling. Will more aspiring models feel empowered to embrace their authentic selves, or will the industry revert to its more conventional norms? The experiences shared by individuals like our Reddit user will undoubtedly contribute to ongoing discussions about representation and authenticity. It is essential for both industry insiders and aspiring models to engage with these narratives and recognize the value of diverse perspectives. The path forward may be uncertain, but it is clear that the dialogue around natural beauty and personal narratives is just beginning. The outcomes of this shift could redefine not just modeling but the broader cultural landscape of beauty standards.

My 2nd time doing digitals

Hi these are my latest digitals with my natural hair. I had a perm last time and now it has grown all out.

I got some good feedback from my last digitals and tried to apply them here.

Feel free to share your thoughts if these are bookable and standard. I haven’t applied to agencies with these digitals yet but will soon!

UPDATE: I currently work as a freelance-model in Los Angeles and have booked one paid gig and been testing on ig with photographers also have a shoot tmr. So this only the beginning.
