Photo printing for exhibition
Our take
Preparing for your first art show is an exciting journey, especially when it comes to printing your photos on canvas. To ensure your work shines at the exhibition, consider the quality of both local print shops and online options. While online services may offer lower prices, local shops often provide superior quality and personalized assistance. When printing, remember that stretcher bars will take up 2 inches on each side, so adjust your image accordingly to maintain its integrity.
How do you get photos printed on canvas for art shows? If accepted by the jury panel, my photo would be displayed in a museum for several months. This is my first time submitting to such a show. I need to have the canvas print put on stretcher bars by a frame shop. Online printing options seem cheaper than local print shops but is the quality good? When getting it printed, the stretcher bars take 2 inches all around the perimeter so how do you make allowance for that in the print? I would appreciate any advice. I’m obviously a beginner at this.
