Transit visa for colombia el dorado? Malaysian passport
I’m having trouble finding a trusted source online that confirms if I would need a transit visa for bogota. I’m staying for 10 hours, on the same ticket and flying to Toronto eventually. Some info online says no generally but then yes if they force you to go through immigration? Anyone have any idea where I could find a good source thank you
Passport: Malaysia
Flight: LIM to BOG (10hr layover), then BOG to YYZ (on same ticket with avianca)
Edit: Official consulate website says:
Do I need a direct airport transit visa to pass through Colombia?
If you hold a passport from one of the following countries, you require a visa for direct airport transit at Colombian international airports en route to a third country. This visa only allows a stay in the airport transit area for up to 24 hours and does not authorize a change of airport. Arrival and stay in international transit are not considered entry into the national territory (Article 2 of Resolution 3717 of 2023).
So if Malaysia isn’t listed does that mean a transit visa isn’t needed?
