Watermark removal

I’m wondering if anyone can help. I did a press release for something years ago and was also advised to watermark pictures etc. Now a few years later the only pictures i have that (my daughter who is now older would like copies of) have watermarks on. Is there a way to remove these. I’m only interested in doing this on my own images.
