Is using a facial trimmer better than threading/waxing?

I’ve tried threading and find it really painful, then switched to waxing which was great but after a huge burn mark on my upper lips right before my sister’s wedding, I don’t think I could ever do that. I started reading about facial trimmers but wanted some personal opinion? Women who have used it, can you please share your personal opinion and which brand is the best if I plan on buying one?
