Didn’t like my bridal trial makeup or hair

Didn’t like my bridal trial makeup or hair

She was recommended to me by a friend who had her bridesmaid makeup done by her and she has been doing bridal hair and makeup for 10 years, has an instagram full of beautiful photos. I told her I wanted soft, glowy, natural makeup that would last all day and showed her the inspo for both hair and makeup (last pic!) At first I didn’t notice inside and I said I liked it, because I think the base is fine and I liked the eyes, but then I got to my car and realized how orange I was lol. The first 6 photos are the original makeup done by her … she never shade matched me and the foundation and bronzer was way too warm for me, wasn’t blended at my eyebrows, plus I looked oily within a couple hours 😬

When I got home I touched it up with my own products (photos 6-9, same lighting as the first 3 photos) and really loved the result. I’m planning on telling her the issues and asking for a second trial, but now I’m a little unsure if I even still want to use her since the shade match was so bad, seems like one of the basic skills…. Should I just do it myself or find someone new? The wedding is in 2 months so might be hard to find a skilled MUA last minute.

The hair wasn’t bad, but it kind of just looked it was thrown together. I didn’t want it too structured to where it looked like prom but I want it to look like it was intentional.

Thoughts? Any other feedback appreciated :) Thank you!

ETA: I only showed her these two pictures for makeup inspo
