Vanity lighting in dark spaces

I was given a beautiful 60s wood vanity and mirror but it obvs doesn't have lights, and it's sitting in a very dark space (only option).

I've tried different led/modern lighting in the past and still end up under the bathroom lighting to better match indoor lighting in offices, etc. I haven't yet tried bulbs but that's where I'm leaning as I don't know anything about the most modern lighting types (like what people use for sm).

Has anyone had this issue and found a good solution that doesn't look horrible?
