Capturing Light and Form Through the Year's Most Stunning Architecture
The Architecture Photography MasterPrize has unveiled its 2026 winners, and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. From sweeping exterior facades to intimate interior friezes, each image captures light and form with an artist's eye. These are not mere buildings; they are curated moments of beauty. For another take on visual storytelling, our piece on "Revisiting the 5D Mk II Through a Curated Lens of Authentic Creativity" explores how older gear can still inspire a fresh perspective.
AI Alters Art: Photography Competition Sparks Debate and Rule Changes
A state fair photography competition just handed its top prize to an image heavily edited by AI, and the backlash was immediate. The win felt less like a celebration of craft and more like a question mark over what a photograph even is anymore. Organizers heard the debate and have already rewritten the rules for next year, a move that feels both necessary and overdue. Capture Health: A Global Photo Competition with $70,000 in Prizes
$70,000 in prizes is a bold statement, but this competition's real draw is its premise. *Capture Health* invites photographers worldwide to submit images of how health is experienced, represented, and understood, an artistic challenge that feels refreshingly open-ended. It's not about clinical precision; it's about authentic human moments. For those drawn to the intersection of lifestyle and art, this is a curated opportunity worth exploring.
