Photos being mislabeled as AI?

Our take

Have you ever faced the frustration of having your authentic photographs mislabeled as AI-generated on Reddit? It seems that the platform's algorithms struggle to distinguish between edited images and those captured in reality. I've encountered this issue twice in different photography subreddits. The first time, after reaching out to moderators, they acknowledged their mistake and restored my photo. However, after the second incident, I decided to stop posting in that sub altogether.

Anyone else have multiple issues with Reddit pulling down your photos because they are AI? But they’re not AI. They’re 100% real, but the AI algorithms of Reddit apparently can’t tell the differences between editing and AI. It’s happened twice to me on here but in a different photography sub. The first time it happened, I reached out to the moderators and they finally got back to me a day later and said they made a mistake and they restored the photo. Then it happened again and I just let it go. But I also stopped posting on that sub.
