A Cold Glimpse of Our Sun's Distant, Silent End

January is often the month that feels like it will never end, so astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy has leaned into the sentiment. It is unnerving, yes, but also strangely beautiful. If you are drawn to how light dances across the sky, do not miss "A Year of Planning Yields an Immersive Solar Eclipse Moment in Spain."
